After his retirement as a headmaster, Shri.K.L Patwardhan decided to devote his life for enrichment of latent qualities of young, intelligent and capable children from the unprivileged and economically weak section of our society and making them into social assets. Following activities are currently run by institute
Integrated Self Development Centers: Number of programs like residential camps, trekking, study tours, group tasks, lectures are organized for integrated development of the students.
Mobile Laboratory Project:The vehicle of the institute goes to various villages in Mulshi & Haveli Tehesil (Pune Dist.) and conducts demonstration of experiments in Science for students. A separate session for 10th Std. students is also arranged in various village schools.
Vocational Training Courses for Women:Vocational training courses such as Home Nursing, Tailoring, and Montessori Teacher's training, Fashion designing for needy women.
"Pakoli" Montessori School:The data collected through the survey threw light on the fact that near about 58% of the kids in the slum, between the age group 3 to 5 did not go to any Montessori School. This motivated us to start a Montessori School which was thereafter named as 'Pakoli'.

Self – Help Group's [Bachat Gat]
Study Center (Abhyasika):The space available in the home is so limited that students from such background find it difficult to study.The institute started an activity 'Self Study Center'.The center is open between 6.00 am to 12.00 midnight, throughout the year.
Help SWA-ROOP WARDHINEE:
Every year the estimated expenditure is around 83 lakh on our various projects. Your donations, time, references etc., will support Wardhinee's vital work in making a lasting difference to children's lives.
Volunteer: Your co-operation is solicited in the following manner :
1. Inform your friends about our activities.
2. Visit the institute with your family & friends and get acquainted.
3. Spare some time to participate in the activities of the trust.
4. Offer us the benefit of your experiences.
Internships: Students who need to work for a NGO as a part of their school/college project can send their application to the trust.
Donations to the institute enjoy exemption under section 80(G) as well as 100% exemption under 35-AC of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Cheques / Demand drafts may kindly be drawn in favour of 'Swa'-Roop wardhinee'.
